Meet Keeli and Jeremy! These two met back while back in college at Hampton University. According to Keeli, they only had a workout class together but reconnected when Jeremy moved to the DMV area after college. For their session, they both wore HBCU sweaters as their casual outfit - and while any homage to an alma mater is great, it’s always a little more special when it’s an HBCU.

If you didn’t know, I have a Zoom consultation with all of my inquiries and I could tell from ours that we were a great fit! One of my favorite things about these two is how simple and intimate Jeremy’s proposal was. He’d taken Keeli to all of her favorite restaurants for a week and then surprised her with a proposal in bed on a Thursday morning. They love to travel, go out to eat, go to the movies and spend time with their pup. I don’t know if I would officially add DIY-ing for the wedding to that the list but from following Keeli on Instagram it seems like she is having a great time adding personal touches to their day!

I’m so happy I was able to make time for their engagement session while they were visiting town from DC to see Keeli’s family. Even though it was a frigid morning, these two were troopers while we explored downtown Raleigh. They both donned amazing suits for their first outfit - I mean, check out the shingles on Keeli, not to mention her shoes! Their HBCU sweaters kept them a little warmer during the second half of the session where we spent a few minutes on a breezy rooftop.
